Ascent Data started in Pittsburgh in 1997 providing IT services for major financial services companies. We developed an early cloud-hosted SaaS enterprise sales reporting application for mutual fund companies and built our SOC2 audited data center in 2000 to provide a secure hosting environment for that application and for third-party clients.
In 2000 we began providing remote managed services for a growing list of companies across a broad range of industry categories throughout the US – real estate, natural resources, aviation, property development, hospitality, telecom, etc.
